Vanessa

Hello! I’m Vanessa, a qualified and experienced primary educator with over 17 years in the teaching profession. I hold a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status and have worked across various educational settings, including classroom teaching, university mentoring, and private tuition.

I'm passionate about helping children aged 7–13 build lasting confidence in maths and English, offering a supportive and nurturing environment that enables them to flourish both academically and emotionally.

Tutoring Experience

My background includes teaching in UK primary schools, mentoring trainee teachers at the University of Brighton, and tutoring students internationally, including in the UAE. I have consistently supported children to exceed expectations in their SATs and school assessments, with a strong focus on both academic progress and personal development.

I also have extensive experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that all students, regardless of ability or background, receive the support they need to succeed.

Tutoring Approach

I offer engaging and interactive online lessons tailored to each child’s learning style and goals. Using platforms like Pencil Spaces, Zoom, and Google Classroom, I create dynamic sessions that build core skills while keeping students motivated and confident.

My tuition is structured, positive, and always centred on the needs of the learner. I believe that with the right encouragement, every child can unlock their potential and develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
