I have worked with children and families for most of my adult life and really enjoy seeing young people flourish in different areas of their personal and educational development.
I am an experienced teacher who has worked as a teacher of the deaf, a SENCO, a primary school class teacher and more recently as a teaching assistant. I have also spent six years working abroad in Azerbaijan as head teacher of a small international school which helped me to develop my knowledge of teaching English as a second language. I have also done online tuition before.
I think making lessons accessible, appropriate to the child's level and learning style as well as including fun as a key component - especially for younger children - are all very important. I take some time aiming to get to know a student, finding out their interests and trying to include elements of this in their learning.
