I am an Economics graduate with a professional background in finance. Alongside my career, I have developed a strong passion for education and have been tutoring for over three years. My focus is on helping students build confidence in their abilities while developing a genuine understanding of the subjects they study. I believe education should not only prepare students for exams but also equip them with skills that benefit their future.
I have extensive experience in preparing students for the 11+ entrance exams. My teaching also covers Primary level Maths and English, where I use my strong communication and analytical skills to explain concepts clearly and in an engaging way. With a background in finance and economics, I am able to show students how Maths is more than just numbers—it is a tool that underpins everyday life and problem-solving. Over the years, I have built a reputation for being patient, approachable, and committed to helping students achieve their best.
My teaching approach is centred around patience, clarity, and encouragement. I work to understand each student’s individual learning style and adapt lessons so that they feel supported without being overwhelmed. I aim to break down complex topics into simple, relatable steps, often connecting them to real-life examples so students see the value and purpose behind what they are learning. I believe in building understanding first, then confidence, so that exam performance improves naturally. Rather than relying on rote memorisation, I encourage students to think critically and understand the “why” behind the methods. Above all, I create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated, comfortable, and able to grow at their own pace.
