Tutoring Experience

I’m Lo, an experienced Maths tutor with 15 years experience of one-to-one Maths tuition, and 8 years of teaching experience in London secondary schools, .

Having taught and tutored A-level Maths and Further Maths (Edexcel and AQA), Foundation and Higher GCSE Maths (Edexcel and AQA), KS3, and Functional Skills (Levels 2 and 3), I have a deep understanding of the UK Maths curriculum and the specific needs of students at each level.

I have experience preparing students to achieve grade A/A* in their Maths and Further Maths A-Level, alongside successfully coaching students in achieving a passing grade in their Foundation GCSE Resit.

Tutoring Approach

With a focus on assessment preparation at GCSE and A-level, I guide students through complex topics, providing clear explanations and tailored strategies to ensure they are fully prepared for their exams.

Questions are actively encouraged, and time for practice will be given, to ensure that a skill has been developed in depth by the end of every session.

My approach aims to boost confidence and help foster a positive relationship with mathematics. I believe every student can succeed with the right support, and I’m dedicated to helping them achieve their academic goals.
