Hi, I’m Lewis. I graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Accounting and Finance, and I have a strong background in mathematics. At A-Level, I achieved an A* in Maths and an A in Further Maths, as well as a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths.

Tutoring Experience

While I am new to formal tutoring, I have always enjoyed helping others learn. Throughout school and college, my teachers often paired me with classmates to explain difficult topics and support them with their studies. These experiences gave me the chance to develop patience, clear communication, and the ability to break down complex ideas into simpler steps.

I am now looking to build on this by offering structured one-to-one tutoring. With my strong academic background in maths and finance, combined with my enthusiasm for teaching, I am confident I can help students make real progress and feel more confident in their abilities.

My teaching approach focuses on building confidence and making maths feel approachable. I break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and use examples to show how methods work in practice. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, whether that means revisiting core topics, developing exam technique, or stretching towards higher grades.

A typical session combines clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice so that students not only understand the material but also know how to apply it in exams. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to achieve their best.
