Outstanding teacher (Ofsted) of over 15 years and qualified SENDCo (Special Educational Needs) with over 8 years senior leadership experience in both secondary and further education.
I am deeply committed to the power of education for all and its ability to transform lives. As a tutor, my job is to support others to reach their educational potential.
Outside of my professional life, I love walking (with my dog), interior design and swimming.
I have taught Business and Economics for over 15 years and have provided 1:1 tutoring on and off for most of this time. I have experience across a range of exam boards and have previously marked for AQA.
As a SENDCo, I have additional skills in adapting my practice to serve a range of learning needs as well as a trauma-informed approach.
As both a teacher and leader in schools, I have extensive skills in study habits, strategies and research-led approaches.
Relationships, mutual respect and understanding are key. I take time to perform diagnostic assessments of all students and adapt my practice to suit their learning styles and needs. Regular reflection and assessment work (in an appropriate manner for the tutee) are carried out to ensure consistent and steady progress.
