Hello!

I graduated in 2019 from Oxford in PPE, and from September I will be a postgraduate at St Andrews, studying for a psychology conversion. I hope to build experience in private tutoring to supplement my income and to help students achieve their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

• Two years' experience tutoring English and Maths to primary school students
• One year's experience tutoring A-level Religious Studies and A-level Philosophy to sixth-formers
• Additional experience organising and presenting Maths workshops in Maths for primary school students

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach has three key elements:
• Nail down aims in advance (including detail of assessments) and co-design a concrete plan
• Work with the student as an individual, understanding current areas of strength and weakness, learning style, and blockers, and providing a 'safe space' where there are no silly questions
• Progress methodically according to the agreed plan, combining understanding the syllabus/ material with plenty of practice on exam technique etc.
