I am an experienced Biology Teacher, working in a secondary school in South Lanarkshire. I am passionate about all things science, especially biology! The thing which i find most rewarding about teaching is getting to know each individual and being able to help young people reach their full potential. I have an excellent understanding of the National 5 Biology course and the types of questions which come up in exams as I have marked for the SQA.

Tutoring Experience

I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a PGDE in Biology with Science although I am dual qualified to teach Chemistry also. I have three years experience of teaching biology in secondary school. I also have a 2:1 Honours degree in Physiology from the University of Glasgow.

Tutoring Approach

I am passionate about helping young people to achieve their full potential. I work with students on an individual basis, tailoring the teaching to their specific needs. This allows me to cover as much of the course as possible to ensure the student reaches their full potential.

I will provide all materials necessary and ensure that the young person feels as confident as possible and has all the revision materials to help them with their studying. I can provide materials such as question booklets with past paper practice and printed out notes.

I can also provide study tips to ensure the student is making the most of their revision time.
