Maths Lessons in Acton

I'm a DBS-cleared maths tutor with a First-Class BSc Honours Degree in Mathematics, based in West London. I offer one-to-one online or in-home tuition.

Do you want your child to excel in mathematics? Are you concerned about their academic future? Whether they are struggling or excelling, I can help them stay on track.

I am a member of The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, and I provide tuition for Year 5 to GCSE pupils, A Level students, and adult learners, backed by full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Online lessons: £35 per hour (using Bitpaper and Teams).

Face-to-face lessons: £50 per hour, £65 for 90 minutes, or £80 for two hours (split between siblings if needed).

Tutoring Experience

I am a full-time tutor with over 20 years of experience in teaching. I have worked with students ranging from Year 5 to GCS.. My extensive familiarity with the current GCSE syllabus, since its inception, allows me to understand it thoroughly along with the typical types of questions presented in the examination. In my spare time, I am pursuing a master’s in mathematics, enabling me to empathize with students who struggle with challenging mathematical concepts.

Most of the lessons I deliver are developed by myself. Each topic is meticulously crafted and designed specifically for tutoring purposes. I incorporate numerous questions from recent GCSE papers, formatted similarly to the actual exam papers, ensuring that students become accustomed to the style and structure of the assessments.

Additionally, I have assisted adults looking to enhance their numeracy skills for personal development or career advancement. For instance, I have supported prospective teachers in preparing for the numerical skills test required to qualify as a teacher.

Tutoring Approach

Previous pupils have described me as open, approachable, and clear in my explanations. I aim to make lessons enjoyable and engaging, as a positive experience is crucial for effective learning.
