An initial lesson may be focused on identifying gaps in knowledge and determining what the student hopes to gain from their tutoring. From there, subsequent lessons may have an area of focus, this may be a particular topic or concept. The last part of a lesson may be about how what was covered fits within the larger plan for the content that is to be covered.
