I am a qualified teacher with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and over 10 years of teaching experience in Hong Kong and Scotland. I specialise in teaching Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) for all levels, from beginners to advanced learners, and I also support primary students in Mathematics. Currently, I am studying for a Master of Education in Inclusive Practice at the University of Aberdeen. I am passionate about helping every student achieve their goals with confidence.

Tutoring Experience

Over 8 years of classroom teaching in primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, mainly in Chinese language (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Experience teaching students of different ages and abilities, including pupils with special educational needs (SEN).

Currently working in Scotland as a Pupil Support Assistant in a high school, supporting pupils with academic and emotional needs in both one-to-one and group settings.

Skilled in adapting teaching methods, building learner confidence, and supporting progress step by step.

My approach is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs.

For Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), I use interactive and practical methods, such as real-life conversations, games, and cultural activities, to help students improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

For Primary Maths, I focus on strengthening foundations, developing problem-solving skills, and building confidence in a clear and enjoyable way.

I believe encouragement and personalised teaching strategies are the keys to student success.
