Hi! I'm Amulya and I'm a first-year Economics and Politics student at Durham University and I teach 11+ Maths, GCSE Sociology and IB Anthropology. I started tutoring as younger peers recognised my dramatic increase in grades and I was able to use my previous struggles to meet them where they are and take them further. Many of my younger peers were anxious to ask teachers for help and found my teaching approachable and understandable.
I look forward to any inquiries!
I have tutored for two years through my school's GCSE math mentorship programme, which then led to one year of private tutoring.
My main strength lies in my ability to mantain comfort and relatability with my students, enabling myself to explain particular concepts due to my similar struggles. I'm aware tuition can be a point of conflict, particularly to younger nervous students, however my spirited character alongside my experience will ensure students are unafraid to ask for help and enjoy tutoring.
