Information About Faye - Leixlip tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Faye and I am a newly qualified teacher from Dublin. I recently completed a Bachelor of Education in Irish and German at Dublin City University, graduating with a first class honours.

Tutoring Experience:

During my studies I completed 3 block school placements, two of which were in Irish-speaking schools. During these placements I taught students at Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle level, in both Irish and German. In addition to my placements, I also worked as a substitute teacher. As part of this role I engaged in team-teaching and was often responsible for supporting students one to one or in smaller groups.

To date I have two years experience of giving online grinds and look forward to helping more students in the coming year.

Approach to Grinds:

My grinds take place online via Zoom. I normally offer 40-minute sessions to Junior Cycle students and 1-hour sessions to Leaving Cert students, but this can be adjusted based on the student's preference.

Each student will receive their own personal Google Drive folder, where all notes and materials used during the session will be uploaded afterwards.

Grinds are tailored to meet each student's individual needs. This will be discussed during the first session and a plan will be made for going forward.
